Forerunner 645 MUSIC

Thanks to Jan for the link to these pics of the Forerunner 645 / 645 Music. It’s likely these are real given the timing, so my expectation would be one watch with minimal storage and one with 4 or 8GB storage and Bluetooth headphone support. The form factor is as expected, although no sign of the 245 for now but that’s usually similar. It’s entirely possible Garmin may consolidate these models this time around given the rest of their range. They also may elect to leave off the barometric altimeter for the Forerunner 245 which would lock it out of their new running power app – a reasonable omission as not everyone will want running power at the expense of cost. We’ll see very soon though 🙂

Curious about the price. Especialy compared to vivoactive 3.

More than VA3, less than F5. I expect just under Forerunner 935, like $20 under just to “differentiate”.

What’s the difference between the 645 and 935 series?

The 935 is available would be the main one!

Going on rumours though, the 645 will have Garmin Pay and a music option. 935 is a Tri watch so has multisport modes – these may or may not get released on the 645 which is primarily a running watch. 645 is in my opinion a more stylish option – the 935 is pretty utilitarian and plastic but the trade-off is that it’s really light. Traditionally the 6xx has been touch enabled too.

The 910xt was $50 over the 610. The 920xt was $50 over the 620. So seems like the trend will continue and the 645 will get all the functionality the 935 has but without the multisport. Might have extra other stuff like garmin pay
